Founders Story
Fortress Metals is the parent company of the Seattle Coin Shop (Seattle, WA) and North End Gold & Currency (Atlanta, GA). We are primarily a buyer of gold, silver, copper, platinum, palladium and rhodium in nearly all forms. The metals we buy are mostly melted down and sold to a larger refiner, however, we also generate significant margins from reselling certain coins and other collectibles through our retail store, coin shows and online auctions. The metals listed above are also sold in non-coin bullion form to our customers. Any sales that we do not make from our existing inventory are purchased on behalf of our customers directly from a wholesaler.

Jesse's Friend
A longtime friend who has been part of the operation for years, he steps in wherever needed. He supports day-to-day functions and helps maintain the consistency customers rely on. Loyalty and reliability are part of the foundation here.
Jesse's Brother
Jesse’s brother supports daily operations and helps keep the shop running smoothly. He works closely with customers and assists with intake, organization, and behind-the-counter details. His steady presence reinforces the family roots of the business.
Jesse's Aunt
Jesse’s aunt helps create a welcoming and comfortable storefront environment. She knows many of the regulars and makes new customers feel at ease. In a business built on trust, that warmth matters.
Jesse
Jesse originally purchased the Seattle coin shop in 2023, laying the foundation for what Fortress is today. He has years of experience evaluating coins and precious metals and works directly with customers every day. His approach is straightforward: explain the value clearly, price fairly, and treat people with respect.
Mick Connors
Mick joined Fortress with a long-term vision for what the business could become. He focuses on building a modern, transparent operation that earns trust over time. His priority is simple: do the work honestly and build something that lasts.
